SibA Simulation Details

The SibA eye disease simulation app is a specially designed application that reveals and reflects the symptoms of various visual impairments by means of the camera function in iPads/iPhones. It has an integrated information component, which graphically depicts the symptoms of the visual impairments for both patients and family members. Symptom simulations can be activated or deactivated and the settings can be adapted according to their severity. It includes age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic macular edema (DME), retinal vein occlusion (RVO) and pathologic myopia (PM and mCNV). The app should not be used for diagnostic purposes; it is merely an information and educational tool. If you have any questions, please contact your ophthalmologist.
