What do I need? ☆ an android device :-) ☆ data connection ☆ GPS or Wi-Fi turned on (depending on what kind of accuracy you need -- precise or approximate) Mobile data usage? Mobile data use for a GPS beacon source with a 1 interval update is about 2.70 MB per hour. Increasing the interval to 2 seconds will halve it, so 1.35 MB per hour. And so on... NOTE: You need a data connection (enough cell tower signal) for this to work, it's not a substitute for a PLB/EPIRB radio beacon The tracklog is NOT saved in this free version, just the last beacon!
