The National Kidney Foundation app gives families instant access to all current information about kidney-related matters. NKF Malaysia is a one-stop national resource center for all kidney-related matters. To save lives through preventive education and early detection of kidney disease, while providing a second chance through haemodialysis for those suffering end stage renal failures, promote organ donations, kidney transplants and medical research into kidney diseases and to ensure the continued good health and well-being of our patients through a holistic care concept. NKF is a non-profit charity organization; thus, fundraising is an important component so that we can channel aide to the needy and sustain the organization. NKF’s patients are generally from the lower income group and these patients often could not afford dialysis treatments at private medical facilities which usually charge RM150 to RM250 for each dialysis sessions. NKF helps by subsidising the cost of the patients’ dialysis treatments, so that they are only required to pay a RM50 nominal fee per dialysis session.
