Field Tile Calculator Details
The Field Tile Calculator is used to recommend tile sizes for draining water from a farm field. It contains three views: a Summary View, Detail View and Preferences View. When the app starts the Summary View is displayed. It contains controls that the operator uses to enter field conditions (e.g. soil type, crop type and grade). It also contains controls that the operator uses to enter options (e.g. tile type, surface inlets, acres to drain). The operator can use the controls to enter conditions and options and get an immediate recommendation for tile size. The operator can select the Detail View to get detailed tile size and flow statistics. The same controls that appear on the Summary View also appear on the Detail View. The operator can see the effect of changes in the options on water flow and tile size.
